Perpetually Curious

A cat avatar stares wide-eyed in chaotic wonder at the moon above.
Moon Cat redraw Dec. 2024. Style inspired by Cult of the Lamb, and the collar bell is a nod to Bee and Puppycat.
An urban sketch of the historic Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, but with a purple exterior.
Okay hear me out… What if more buildings were purple? This is the historic Fillmore Auditorium on east Colfax in Denver, with some colors reimagined.
A watercolor painting of an urban cruiser style bicycle. The bicycle is a dark earthy green with a brown seat, and sits against a bright blue background.
My bike that I was so excited while waiting for it to be ready for pick up I had to paint it.
A spooky forest scene. A young woman is center frame, sitting amongst a fairy circle of mushrooms, and trees. The woman's head is lowered in focus and her arms are raised in a graceful spellcasting movement. Two harmless, yet curious, looking ghosts rise around the woman, and gaze toward the viewer.
A painting for the 2022 Drawtober prompt Garden of Magick.
A watercolor painting of a sleeping bat, hanging from a crescent moon. The foreground swirls with blue and pink clouds. A celestial web is woven into the stars above the moon, and a lone spider nestles on it.
A bat sleeping in past twilight. Painted on the brink of fall with peak cozy vibes.
Layered gradients of green to blue, and chaotic black swirls create the environment felt on a rainy day in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. A solitary building is seen center frame, no other surroundings are visible.
A chaotic mixed media sketch of a rainy day in Cheesman Park.
A watercolor and ink sketch of a small house. The house is a red brick with a wavy natural material roof. A large purple bush covers most of the house's right exterior, and a large green tree can bee seen behind the house. The house's entry points, the front door and two windows, are completely black blocking any view.
A cute funky house I sketched on site from the park. The roof's amazing lines had me enamored.
A a chibi style stalk of celery wearing a lab coat.
A drawing I gifted a friend that has a doctor celery persona.
A watercolor and ink sketch of a rusted window with a harsh shadow cast across it.
A painting based on a photograph from my dear friend Andrew, an outstanding photographer.
A fan's watercolor painting rendition of the book cover for Under the Whispering Door, written by T.J. Klune, cover by Red Nose Studios, published by Tor Books.
I read Under the Whispering Door by TJ. Klune and I ugly cried multiple times throughout. It’s poignant yet hopeful.. (as if that comes close to explaining it, as Wallace would say.) The dust jacket designed by Chris at Red Nose Studio is as beautiful as the story and I really wanted to try an urban sketch of the stacked tea shop on the front. I didn’t come close to doing the background justice and added only hints to the forest since I was focused on the building structure. I recommend reading Under the Whispering Door, as well as House in the Cerulean Sea by the same author.
Three swirly pink clouds on a blue night sky with a crescent moon.
A simple moon and clouds sketch on rough cotton paper.
Pink mountains lined in heavy black sit against a dark and dreary sky. Two swirly clouds reflect the pink of the mountains below.
A sketch of mountains with watercolor and fine liners on heavy texture cotton paper.
The silhouette of a black cat is seen sitting on top of a tilted crescent moon. The cat's tail hangs over the moon. which is bright white and textured with craters. The sky is blue, textured, and dotted with silver and white geometric stars.
The original drawing of my avatar Moon Cat. Mixed Media, mostly alcohol markers and paint pens.
